Teachers lead by example, responding to each child with understanding, respect, kind words, and by modeling composure, cooperation, and compassion.

A program called Conscious Discipline produces amazing results in teaching children about choices, developing self-control, and personal responsibility for their behavior. Our teachers will model and teach these skills with the children. Conflict in the classroom is viewed as an opportunity to teach responsibility for behavior. Learning occurs when children are able to see the connection between their behavior and the result of that behavior for themselves and those around them. Positive approaches to problem solving are used to motivate children and make helpful choices.
