What We Teach and Why
Teachers at Good Samaritan Academy use the Creative Curriculum, the Wee Learn Curriculum, and the Kindness Curriculum to plan lessons that will encourage learning and build a foundation for current and later academic and social success. Lesson plans will follow a theme-based schedule that is developmentally appropriate, providing exciting and fun-filled experiences as the children explore the seasons, nature, animals, holidays, and many other interesting topics about the world around us.
Assessments
Good Samaritan Academy uses “The Creative Curriculum Developmental Continuum Assessment System.”
We do assessments twice a year once in the Fall and then in the Spring. We offer formal conferences to parents in late January and again in May. Parents are encouraged to communicate with their child’s teacher daily and at any time with the office staff.
